Driving from Johor Bahru or Singapore to Mersing

Drive from JB to Kota Tinggi from Tebrau Highway and proceed via Jemaluang to Mersing, a quiet fishing village / town. The distance is approximately 140 km. Look out for the Green signboard direction to the town. At Mersing custom jetty you need to take a speedboat or ferry to designated Island. There are secured parking spaces at a very reasonable rate about RM8 / nights beside the jetty.

Public transport from Johor Bahru to Mersing

Taxi fare is approx. RM120 / cab per way (charter). Bus fare is about RM9.00/way from Larkin Bus Station, Johor Bahru. One of the air-con coach service S & S International at counter T 9 Depart at 8:30 a.m. & 2 p.m. (JB Tel: 60-07-2226246) & (Mersing Tel: 07-7992246) these are not frequent though. Alternatively, you can take Trans link Yellow bus No: 66 hourly at (MYR$4.50 / way) to Kota Tinggi interchange and hop on to another bus No 103 that go to Mersing hourly at about RM$8.00 (Tel: 6-013-7799246). Most of the buses will drop you off either at the roundabout from which you should walk to Jalan Abu Bakar to get to the hotel or jetty. Alternatively, you may alight at the Taxi stand / bus terminal / Plaza R&R Terminal near jetty.

Express bus available at Lavender Street and Golden Mile complex at Five Star Travel.

Taxi Transfer from Singapore - JB - Mersing one way or two way can be pre - arranged.

Public transport from Kuala Lumpur to Mersing You need to go to Pudu Raya bus station and the fare is about RM16.60/way. One of the coach service operator is Transnational Express, Tel: (603) 20703300 , the buses leave at about 9:00 a.m. and the ride takes about 6 hours. Taxi fare is approx. RM300 - RM400 per taxi (chartered service).
